Pantofola d'oro, since 1886.

The Pantofola d'Oro has the name and surname: Emidio Lazzarini, born in 1915, fighter for passion and shoemaker by profession, nephew and son of shoemakers active since 1866 in via della Fortezza in the center of Ascoli.

Emidio is part of those generations of Italians born and raised amidst sacrifices, privations, hardships and hunger, but who stubbornly wanted to redeem themselves to make their way in life.

His studies in the fourth grade were interrupted out of necessity, Emidio's life was divided between his father's shoemaker's shop, wrestling and boxing.

Again: effort, sweat, heart, courage, technique, cunning, speed, power.

Start building the boots he needs for training and matches. Perfect, unique shoes that do not go unnoticed.

That surname "Lazzarini" begins to circulate among sportsmen and especially in the football circles of northern Italy.

Mora and Sivori were the first famous footballers to enter the shop and have their shoes made to measure, but it was John Charles, the legendary Juventus player, who began the legend.

It was he, unwittingly, at the end of the Fifties with his exclamation «This is not a shoe, it's a slipper. A golden shoe» to give its name to one of the legendary Italian brands synonymous with luxury and excellence.

Football greats such as John Charles, Ferenc Puskas, Boniperti, Valcareggi, Garrincha, Di Stefano, Gianni Rivera, Sandro Mazzola, Gigi Riva, Johan Cruyff, Bruno Conti, Roberto Falcao, Roberto Mancini, Marco van Basten, Franco Baresi and Jurgen Klinsmann have wore the "little golden slipper".

After years of closure in the early 2000s, the brand has a second rebirth: production restarts but football boots are joined by a line of shoes for every day, all rigorously made in Italy and "by hand".

The battle for sustainability is also a new distinctive trait of Pantofola d'Oro 2.0 production. Thus was born the Lazzarini Eco, created using a completely eco-sustainable microfiber upper.

Pantofola d'Oro is growing today.

Today it is also on display in Manhattan, New York, where Pantofola d'Oro has recently opened a single-brand store that even allows the customer to customize the shoes at will.

The custom made shop offers the customer the opportunity to customize the two models of football boots (“Gold” and “1990”) but also the “Legend” and “Lazzarini” sneakers with a vast choice of leathers, colors and accessories Made in Italy .

Delivery times are approximately three weeks.

In New York, the brand will launch the new "Super Leggera" football 'slipper', in leather and with a particularly innovative and high-performance sole.

Today the legend continues and whoever wears it knows it, lives it.
